This guy is way worse than his ancestor.

...they're giving you people an 8/8 for 7 and you just complain? Power creep is killing us.

Pelakka Wurm has the same cost and is the same rarity. It's also infinitely superior.

Apparently, Wizards is realizing that green can do a lot better than Craw Wurm (and of course, they made mythic rare Rampaging Baloths and rare Terra Stomper), but they are too shy to make the P/T higher than the cost in lower rarities because players will complain about power creep. Pelakka Wurm was a good step, but that was justified because it was Rise of the Eldrazi. Personally, I think it's already time for green to have a common 7/7 at 4GG, but this would have been fine, too. Not that Craw Wurm is useless in Limited, just saying the bar is a lot higher than what they are printing at common now.

I feel like the uncommon status is justified under this colour. Regarding power creep, if he was a rare people would complain to no end about him having no abilities, however, he's just too big for common- if he was common I'd just feel bad for the big guy... I think he's at home where he is...
Plus, who couldn't fall in love with that adorable face :)

Guys, think. The mana cost can be a problem but when it's NOT, you just dropped an 8/8. When that happens, you feel pretty good towards the card. Just make mono-green with plenty of copper and palladium myrs, maybe a few greenweaver druids. I agree its definitely not a good card, but it's not bad. And remember: Pelakka wurm is gone in standard in a few months.

This is fine for an uncommon. Although pretty fun, I thought Pelakka Wurm was a bit much for an uncommon, this seems a bit more logical.

Ok, flavor text writers, we get it already. First there was Megatog, then Engulfing Slagwurm. Now I'm wondering if there are any creatures on Mirrodin that do use their teeth.
