. Generally, if your attempting to infect your opponent, your creatures already have infect. But on the flip side, if your not running infect creatures, you'll have no reason to want to begin doing infect damage to your opponent, when you could be continuing your progress against their life total. That by itself makes this card a little awkward.
That being said, there are more than a few creatures in the game that become absolutely silly with infect, such as Inferno Titan or Heartless Hidetsugu.

This is usually a pretty naff card but on Heartless Hidetsugu it becomes hilarious. It basically gives you a biological doomsday weapon you can threaten to use on people should they attack you. Bonus points if you can give him shroud.

Actually, this is really good with Heartless Hidetsugu. You just have to get yourself down at least 1 health and you win. Maybe a Gitaxian Probe? See your hand, win?
