Meh. Why a 3/1 for mana in white? The color of protecting stuff. Why not a good old 2/2? Oh wait... There's a Goblin Wardriver. But hey.. that one's red? The color of breaking stuff!? What's up??

This could be a 0/1 with Defender and "At the beginning of your next end step, sacrifice this card. Then exile all permanents you control, all cards in your hand, and all cards in your library" and I'd STILL give it a 4 for the art alone.
But that's not the case, so 4.5 for an excellent card with top-notch art.

What the hell is he wielding? I see no world or strategy where such a weapon could be practical. Except maybe World of Warcraft, which sooo doesn't count.

I just fought this guy at pre-release. Opponent used master's call and attack with everything. Was a beating, till I laid down that slagstorm. =P

Pretty decent cost for a guy that is essentially a 4/1 attacker.

@howard -
This.
Back in the day a 3/1 for 1W would have been good even without battle cry's ridiculous multiplication factor.
Only reason not a 5/5 is in Standard it is pretty easy to remove.
4/5

Because it kept saying I said: "Type your comment here" when I didn't. And this card sucks. It's not useless, I rated it a 4. It just sucks.

@ Mike-c: that is like the most retarded comment i have heard on mtg, what the frigg are you trying to say?
**Because it kept saying I said: "Type your comment here" when I didn't**
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Clearly you have the keyboard-malfunction-disease...
Card is top notch, any WW Deck can profit alot from this card. and with new ravnica i could imagine nice combinations in a G/W Deck.
