I have a game question for this card. If some one plays boomerang on Belbe's Portal when I activated the ability of Belbe's Portal, does the creature gets to enter the game? or the effects of the Boomerang card resolves first?

I find it extremely disappointing to see so many "THIS IS A MUST FOR AN ELDRAZI DECK" comments. The entire point of the big Eldrazis is to let the swarm herald their arrival and give the opponent a chance to slow it down. I understand the Spike mentality entirely, but it completely takes all strategy out of the game to just plop this card on the field and start pumping out your biggest creatures. It's shameful that so many people play Magic like that these days.

@drunyon
Dragons and Eldrazi yeah... Or, Angels, Demons, Beasts, Archons, Djinn, Elementals, Gorgons (A special favorite of mine since you can flash block with them), Giants, Kavu, etc etc... Really, if you're playing a tribal deck that has anything 4 cost or higher, this is kind of a necessity because it dodges counterspells and the cost of using it is less than Quicksilver Amulet.

@RaikNaseem
The ability of belbe's portal goes on the stack, so the boomerang resolves returning the portal to your hand, then the portal's ability resolves and your creature enters the battlefield.

@RaikNaSeem - Since the stack resolves in the 'last in, first out' order, the Boomerang triggers first (which returns the Portal), then the ability of the Portal triggers (even though it's not around). You get your creature, then you can recast the Portal.
Your opponent probably should've waited until you were tapped out...or just bounced the creature you just dropped.
@Rendin - Try saying that when you're facing down a turn two Hand of Emrakul. Throw in Not of This World and you're on a short clock.

*facepalm*
You completely missed the point of what he is saying...
Yes, you could run a set of moxes and/or lotuses and start pumping out eldrazi so fast you opponent doesn't have a chance to play, and if you are on the play, they probably won't be able to do much about it (especially if you throw down emrakul) but where is the fun in that. Smacking some one down so thoroughly take the fun out of the game, try building something with a little balance and flavor.

You have become my new favorite person, I've had a mono green Wurm deck since I started playing and this card has been a staple ever since. Nothing like the look in the other guys face when you manage to drop this turn 2 or 3 with a depletion land and a couple elves and then turn 4 engulfing slagwurm, elder scale wurm or the 15/15 monstrosity that came out in Ravnica whose name eludes me right now and I'm too lazy to look up xD.

You know that this card is a problem when people concede when you drop this and say Eldrazi, before you even play anything.
