Phyresis has been pretty good to Etched Oracle, actually. He has become more powerful than ever before.

Would've been hilarious if all of those symbols were Phyrexian. Perhaps a bit overpowered, but still. Hilarious.
That being said, this is exactly what Mythic should be. Big, flavorful, and full of interesting potential.

Vampire Hexmage. And what the hell, throw Dark Depths in there too.

Should have been a 6/6 for 1 instead of a 10/10 for 5 but still incredibly cool.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Chromatic Lantern yet?
Turn 3 (at least): "Shine a little light down here, Lantern!"
Turn 4: (place land, tap all 4 + Lantern) - "Hey look at who the cat dragged in! Etched Monstrosity, you don't look so good. You should get those -1/-1 counters looked at."
Turn 5: (Tap all five mana for different colors because the Lantern rules): "There you go! Much better!" *proceeds to deal out copious amounts of death*
So by your fifth turn, you get a 10/10 artifact creature AND a three-card advantage.
5/5 if you can pull off the combo, which isn't very hard to set up.

Quite comparable to Kozilek, Butcher of Truth in the sense that you get a large, colorless fatty and draw a bunch of cards for 10 mana.
