It's good enough, because it gets to strike in for alot of damage, but it can get owned quickly versus burn decks. Use it with Lord of the Unreal to kick some ass.

Lazyblazey is wrong. Adarkar Valkyrie will just kill this.
And, to clarify for anyone, targets are declared when spells are put on the stack. Then the dragon's ability will trigger, on top of that spell. Counterspells won't save him. On the other hand, the spell won't resolve unless it targets something else also. You can save your dragon with a counterspell and a Stifle though.

Play Krovikan Mist instead if you're trying to keep a low curve, or if the drawback bothers you.

Kinda neat that it can't be exiled, pacified, and kill spells with secondary effects are countered so they get nerfed.
