Yeah, a 4/2 for three is good. But you need to run a ton of creature removal to prevent your opp from simply trading a bear. Fine card for many limited decks.
btw- what is with these class-less vampires and zombies? Is black just bad at classes?

Not great, but a 4/2 for 2B (which it can be in a deck that runs lots of vampires to hit hard early) is not exactly terrible. Compare to Mindless Null and ponder what happened...

This is A decent Bloodthirster however if it is in conjunction with Bloodlord of Vaasgoth making it 7/5!!!!!....would be nicer with a bit better health though but thats M12 for ya.

A three-mana vanilla 4/2 is playable in Limited; a three-mana vanilla 3/1 which can also be a vanilla 4/2 is MAYBE playable in Limited...

Well, compare it to Servant of Nefarox:
Servant of Nefarox:
Pros:
- Helps tougher creatures when attacking
- If attacking, can become stronger (with other Exalted cards)
Cons:
- Only gets bonus when attacking
- Forces you to attack with only one creature per turn
- If it doesn't attack, it isn't a great blocker
- If it doesn't attack alone, it's susceptible to chumps
Bloodrage Vampire:
Pros:
- If it becomes a 4/2, it's permanent
- Is a Black Vampire, a better tribal than a Black Human Cleric
- Doesn't need to attack alone to get the bonus
Cons:
- The bonus is situational: You need to have an extra spell or attacker beforehand to get the bonus
- If not Bloodthirst-ed, always remains a 3/1
On this note, I'd declare Bloodrage Vampire a better cost, limited core set creature that initially starts as a 3/1.

If I was going to play this guy, I would have to pretend like Vampire Nighthawk never existed.

I like 'em. Spices up most vampire decks, but definitly not a substitue for vampire nighthawk. A little more risky- but super fun!
