This would be an amazing addition to the already stupid massive hordes in a Kaalia of the vast EDH. Equipped Kaalia with a Whispersilk Cloak and Play him with her ability. Then go hunt down something like Iona. So much nastiness to be had with him.

I was playing pack wars once and my opponent played this. I laughed so hard when I drew Pacifism my next turn and realized the Demon looks mildly like the creature on Pacifism.

Damn, he doesn't even have a "if you cast it from your hand" clause on his tutor the way that Reiver Demon does! How was this not a mythic? Not that I mind...I like the fact that my odds of nabbing one are halfway decent!

Not sure whether it's funny or sad to read all the comments that basically say "geeze WotC, Magic isn't supposed to be fun, don't print cards like this."
I guess when you look back at the old old sets it wasn't fun, and some people liked that. But now it is, and this guy owns.

Say you have three Heartless Summonings on the battlefield turn 5.

T5: Rune-Scarred Demon into Demon into Phyrexian Metamorph copying Demon.
T6: Demon into Demon into Metamorph into Metamorph.
T7: Metamorph into Phantasmal Image into Image into Image into Image into Disperse.
T8: Disperse two more times and you have 72 power in the air.

use Shifty Doppelganger to get him out for 4 cmc, then search for Rite of Replication and kick it. Works great in edh! You get four flying fatties, and four more cards to search for! And only at 13 cmc!? That's less than the cost of two!

My favorite demon by far.
