Slightly odd question, but does this work?

1.) Tap Civilized Scholar, putting its ability on the stack.
2.) In response, Untap your Crackleburr, civilized scholar and another blue creature. Put Crackleburr's bounce ability on the stack.
3.) Tap Civilized scholar, putting its ability on the stack.
4.) Civilized scholar's ability from 3 resolves, discard a creature card, transform it into Homicidal Brute and untap it. Allow Crackleburr's bounce ability to resolve.
5.) Tap Homicidal Brute, Crackleburr and another red creature, Putting Crackleburr's burn ability on the stack. Allow it to resolve.
6.) Allow Civilized Scholar's ability from 1 to resolve, discard a creature card, transforming Homicidal Brute back into Civilized Scholar. Untap it.

If someone better at the rules than I can tell me if this checks out, Theoretically this can be continued as long as you have mana to pay for Crackleburr's abilities and creature cards to discard while looting. Each cycle costs... (see all)
