It's a rather nice removal spell - if you think about it, many early creatures are as good as dead when deprived of senses.

It's 1-mana removal that also makes those huge first-strikers much less intimidating.
Suddenly, that Elite Inquisitor doesn't seem quite as threatening.

This is surprisingly useful:
Mirran Crusader? Shut down!
Spikeshot Elder? Shut down!
Glissa, the Traitor? Shut down!
Use it on Viridian Emissary or Solemn Simulacrum and they can't even put on the pressure.
And if you ever need to clear off some of those 0/X's that you left on their side, Twisted Image will do the job and replace itself to boot.
Don't tell anyone, though; we don't want all of the top 8's to have four of these...

Does it make me a sick person that the first thing I wonder is why the nose and ears didn't get stitched as well?
For one mana though this shuts down many early threats. In limited, Insectile Aberration isn't so scary to face anymore, etc.
