Played a game where someone slapped it onto my Impaler Shrike. It isn't strong, but I'll be damned if it isn't a right ass to deal with.

Better than Defensive Stance, coz makes creature weak and more usless without additional +1 toughnes

Opponent: Turn 1, Mountain, Stromkirk Noble
You: Island, Sensory Deprivation. Looks like no turn 2 3/3 Stormblood Beserker for you.

I'm with HuntingDrake here, has anyone seen "Silence of the Lambs"? That movie was rated "R" just because the villain had these... stitchings... over his mouth.

My girlfriend wanted to try Magic out. I made her a simple mono-white deck and played her with my UBR control deck.
I don't think she'll ever play again after I used this.

Useful, yes, but I find I'll never use it. In draft I'll at least pick another colour with solid removal (see: EVERY OTHER COLOR with the possible exception of green, which at least has Prey Upon and Ambush Viper), and in standard there are just insanely better options.
Yes, it will stop another card; but there are other cards that will stop a card wholesale and take it out of the game.
There are corner cases. Things like Sad Robots and Viridian Emissary. But 9 times out of 10 this will be inferior removal when it has to compete with things like other Innistrad 1-drop removal (Geistflame, Dead Weight, the situational Typhoid Rats, Prey Upon).
