Pff, this is sad compared to Totem-Guide Hartebeest. Given, different limited environment, color, and abilities, but the Totem-Guide actually saw play in Twin Pod I believe to fetch out Splinter Twin for Deceiver Exarch.
Also given, there aren't that many curses. . . yet. We shall see what the next 2 sets bring that may or may not make our Witch more or less bitter to play. And there's always Heartless Summoning to make her cost only {2}{B} or {B}.

I've held on to my foil of this, knowing Dark Ascension would bring more curses. How right I was. Lots of neat curses in Dark Ascension and this is a beautiful fetch for them. You'd be paying 4CMC for a Diabolic Tutor anyway to find a curse -- this is 1 more and it goes straight to the battlefield. Drop this, then play Altar's Reap.

Her flavor text should say, "Feed me to your vampires!"

For those curious, it has 2 toughness because of the existence of one card: Heartless Summoning.

This with 2 Heartless Summonings= {B} : Search your library for a curse and put it onto the battlefield attached to target player.
P.S. Curse of Misfortunes.

A relatively good substitute to Vampire Nighthawk when you want to abuse deathtouch with Thornbite Staff. She's a bit more expensive and doesn't have lifelink, but she can ping herself to fetch a curse in a pinch.
