If metalcraft was affinity, the Mirrans might just have won.

This card went straight into my myr deck. It's ruthlessly efficient.

Is it just me, or does he look like Skwissgar Swigelf from Metalocalypse?

Jor Kadeen, taller than a tree.

That...is one darn big human. Seriously, I don't think we've seen anything like that since Magus of the Arena.
Not really much else to say. First pick material, gives you a plan for your entire draft, blah, blah, blah.

@Names_Suck: How did it sound like Mirrodin Pure was designed as a set? MaRo specifically said New Phyrexia was going to be the first set in the block, and then they decided to push it back to last. That to me says Mirrodin Pure was never going to happen, and was all made as a gimmick.

I really hope we find out what is up with this guy unlike with Ob Nixilix. At least without having to read the books. I don't know if I can bring myself to do that. @Atali: I know they'll slap Legend on a creature as a mechanics issue, but as a Vorthos sometimes the creatures are just cool enough that I want to know more about them, the aforementioned Ob Nixilis, Jor Kadeen, and Wrexial, the Risen Deep being my prime examples.

This creature is insanely good for aggro.. turns on your kuldotha rebirths into 4/1 goblins. Being a giant first striker doesn't hurt either. Great way to end a game with an end of turn white sun zenith.

@tpmanw, yeah what was up with the eldrazi novel.. never resolved anything. I guess the eldrazi are just rampaging around the universe. Also that you are right they never said anything about ob nixilis.

Hopefully with Avacyn Restored coming out soon this guy will have some friends. Personally, I think it's a shame that he's the only {R}{W} creature in standard.

It's kind of sad that he's largely ignored. And, he's only a rare. I feel that this guy should have decks built around him at least fairly commonly.

@ SirZapdos: He came with the other Phyrexians. He's pretending he has the Mirrodin watermark to spy on the Mirrans.
