I wasn't lucky enough to get O-rings out of a single pack I've opened since I started playing several months ago, and I didn't really feel like paying for a playset, so I used pacifism instead. It's served me pretty well.

O-ring is, frankly, kind of overpowered.
Pacifism got it just about right. Two mana for universal removal. It doesn't remove the creature, but in some cases (Carnophage/Sangrophage, Moroii), you don't particularly want to.

I wonder if Avacyn will have some pacifism effect built-in, since she likes to bind that which can't be destroyed and all.
Avacyn should have this ability:
Creatures controlled by an opponent with +1/+1 counters can't attack or block.
Or something similar to bind undying creatures.
Edit: Oh well. Avacyn, Angel of Hope is very similar to Akroma, Angel of Wrath: both are gigantic fun cards that don't fit the storyline exactly. MaRo mentioned once in an article he tried to give Akroma an ability that brings her back from the graveyard or otherwise makes her unkillable. I wonder what Design tried to give Avacyn?

now that giant spider isn't going to be in m13 wizzards has started the race for most consecutive appearences in core sets, so far this and gravedigger are tied at seven.

I love this card in draft tournaments. It's easy to get 3-4 of them for a deck and it can lock down things nicely right form the get go. If you can snag a couple O-Rings too, along with a few white weenies, you're already well on your way to victory in most casual drafts. Outside of that, though, I must admit that I use it a fair amount less. It's still a decent card, but there's usually better ones available for really not much more effort in procuring them. Still solid and effective though.
