Really good card, which overcomes the weaknesses of auras generally and combos its effects well in the process.

I like using this on creatures that you want to die, like Homura, Human Ascendant and Tuktuk the Explorer. It makes the opponent more likely to block them and lets them take something out in their final moments. And of course you can get it back.
It works better with Tuktuk, since he dies to anything.

Hm. I just discovered this card. My search results were at first set to show only Tempest cards, which actually hid the fact that this got a Reprint. (Did you know that when you search by Set, it never shows Reprints bc those cards aren't from the Set you're looking for?)
Anyway, this printing has a BETTER rating than the Tempest one....Tempest has better art though :3
So I assume the answer to my question is "YES, this card is almost as good as Rancor even though the best part of it costs mana."
It doesn't grant trample, but it lets you pump unlimitedly. :) Put it on a flier for sure! :D
