This is a big stop sign for many a kitchen top aggro deck. So what if your Diregraf Ghoul or Highborn Ghoul traded for one of their guys? Just drop the horde T3 as a 2/2 or 3/3, or if your life's not in too much danger then T4 after Diregraf Captain.
Mitigates trample and deathtouch, and when he's finally out of lives or when the captain is killed just bring them both back to life with Ghoulcaller's Chant. Really deters ground-based aggro and leaves removal for the fliers.
4.5/5

this card has an AMAZING interaction with Slitherhead. Seriously, noone thinks that when you've got 4 of them in the graveyard and an empty field, you're gonna drop a nearly unkillable 8/8 for 2B

He seems rather vicious with Death Baron. A damage-proof creature with deathtouch? Yikes.

Apart from the obvious Simic style of this card, unless I am invariably mistaken, if you put something with as small a buff as Angelic Shield will insure that it will never die without taking a -X/-1 type hit. Put down a Conjurer's Closet, and you effectively have a 2-part ultimate defender with a good amount of damage who can actually attack effectively (but not flying), for at least 4 collective mana. This card would be made best with changeling- and/or zombie- oriented populate combos and some Simic style transference combos to keep moving more counters onto it every turn than can be removed, making it one of the few ultimate defenders that can do effective damage and acting as a deterrent, much the same as the 'indestrosnake' effect, for those of you who've heard of it
In conclusion,
:)
