The main problem with Dromar is 3/5 of your color options bounces Dromar as well.

So you cheated your Progenitus into play using Elvish Piper?

For all of blues drakes there is a very startling lack of dragons. I always thought of dragons as the more intellectual type, not just the fiery doom type Magic portrays them to be.

I'm not sure why everyone seems to be hating on Dromar. I use him as one of my EDH generals and he is utterly fantastic. Once he gets through, if you decide on doing anything other than green or red, he just bounces back to your hand and you recast him since you don't have to play the extra mana because he wasn't in your command zone. Plus it is just hilarious because I like to use him against a casual group of my friends, all three of which use green...

Dromar might be the most interesting Blue legendary creature because he very directly and obviously makes all those strange Blue color-changing cards relevant. I hope he gets a reprint in either Commander's Arsenal or next year's Commander product, since he's the only Invasion Dragon to not get a Modern Card frame. Duel Decks: Dromar vs. Darigaaz would be amazing because then we'd have alt. art FOILS of all five! :D
Primordial Dragons EDH Review 2/5: Dromar, the Banisher
The cycle of Invasion Dragons (Treva, Dromar, Crosis, Darigaaz, and Rith) are interesting options for EDH play. Unlike the Elder Dragons, there is more than 1 playable card, and none of them are really brutal/broken (though Rith is easily the best). What's good about them is they are all chunky fliers, which means they'll never be un-relevant for combat once you slap any staple Equipments on them, and they are Allied Colored, which makes decks easier to plan and build. Lands and Mana Artifacts are more available for ... (see all)

@ultratog1028: I didn't even think of that. Brilliant!
@Justice1337: Here's another way of looking at it. If you're running Dromar at all, it would probably be as a finisher in a highly defensive WUB control deck, so you probably wouldn't want to cast him until you had about 8 or 9 mana anyway. Even if you end up bouncing him along with all of your opponent's creatures, at least you don't have to worry about retaliation on the next turn because all of your opponent's recast creatures will have summoning sickness. Let's say your opponent has a horde of white, blue, or black creatures that will kill you next turn. Even if you have to bounce Dromar, at least you won't die next turn, and you'll have a chance to recast him as a blocker before your opponent has a chance to kill you on the turn after that. That could potentially set your opponent back two turns and allow you to deal the death blow the second time you attack with dromar.
Anyway, I like this card. It makes the game... (see all)

Just use Distorting Lens to make sure you don't bounce him if you don't want to. Or even Sway of Illusion for a total blowout. Or Scuttlemutt since he's not going to be affected by the bounce no matter what colour you pick. Or Govern the Guildless' forecast.
Failing that, there are many "single use" options out there, instants mostly, that'll be helpful if you're willing to clog your deck with conditional-use cards. Or even creatures that might get bounced on occasion.

Chances are though, if you connect with Dromar, you will bounce much more than 6CMC worth of creatures back to your opponents' hands. Even if you do choose black, white, or blue if you built the deck right you probably are setting your opponents back in tempo more than you.

I can't help but notice that he's the only one of the Primevals to have not gotten a reprint yet. Three of them got a new showing in Phyrexia vs. Coalition and one made a (foil!) appearnace in "Graveborn".
