Wheel of Fortune and other like abilities can fix that problem.
Darigaaz would have been better off if he counted permanents the way Treva and Rith do, though.

Freaking LOVED this guy, back in the day. He was efficient and awesome. Too bad his ability has been so outclassed by current creatures. Maybe if they made it able to hit creatures? Still awesome, anyway.
