Ah, another "equipment before equipment existed" card. Even in a domain deck, pretty overcosted for the effect you get.

Kind of a shame since this card represents one of the Power Armors Urza designed to be piloted by planeswalkers (this was when planeswalkers were still like physical gods) to destroy the hellish plane of Phyrexia. You'd think the card would be more powerful.

@Kryptnyt

I think it was 8 others, actually. The Nine Titans.

It's not that crazy that something like this would be built, at this point Urza had been working on Artifice for the past however many hundred's of years and it would make sense that the natural progression would create something a lot more beastly than Yotian Soldier or Ornithopter. All the technology advanced around Urza, look at anything having to do with the Tolarian Academy. Plus if I remember right it did have missles...

@ stille_nacht: because there is no such thing as "usefulness" or the like that card could be appreciated for.
Additionally, talking about the background story and flavor of this card seems much more interesting to me.
Gwafa Hazid has a good point btw :D

Apparently, Urza and 14 other planeswalkers got in these things to fight Phyrexia. That idea made me lol.

I'd prefer guns and lasers to the thought that these presumed intelligent and brilliant planeswalkers with access to thousands of years and thousands of worlds' worth of technology and innovation (not to mention energy sources that any scientist would swoon to see) were too flippin' stupid to come up with some of the fundamental principles underlying these devices. Not to say that being unable to come up with them is a sign of idiocy, it takes some individual effort, but EVERY planeswalker? We're supposed to believe them to be SMART humans.

In all seriousness, I think Mirrodin handled this concept very well. Machines and advanced technology, but running on magic; i.e., Magitek.

Yeah, it doesn't match up in the slightest. If this can happen, then the next stop is lasers and machine guns. Which I guess would be acceptable for this game so long as they run on "magic". Even so, I've been wondering if Magic would ever go in a direction like that; I wouldn't be against it.

Sadly it may be inevitable. With the idea of infinite planes in the Magic Universe, one would assume there would eventually be a plane without Elves, Goblins, and traditional wizards rampaging about.
