For everyone complaining about 2/4 first strike being a little pointless, it makes it a little more resistant than most of their suggestions. A 4/2 first striker would die to Lightning Bolt, Shock, Incinerate or anything among those lines, and a 2/4 with any other ability (vigilance, for example) would die to small creatures with Deathtouch like Acidic Slime or anything powered up by Onyx Mage. I know I'm only being an ass, but it's true.
It still sucks, though.

I find it funny that other commenters call this "dredge". It seems strictly average to me. In other words, exactly 2.5 stars. Really, people, does every creature need to be a Baneslayer Angel?

Should've been a 4/2, not 2/4 with first strike. With 4 toughness it probably won't die anyway.

Yes, for 5 mana I'd expect something on par with Baneslayer Angel. Sure this turns on the Griffin Riders, but it's just horrible when alone.
