The new Oracle text is so much lamer than the printed text. "Avacyn, Angel of Hope and all other permanents you control are indestructible." just sounds so cool.

Oh, she -could- first strike, but with indestructable, she decides to crush their hope by letting them hit anyway. Because, you know, flavor.

I find it quite flavorful that the Angel of Hope's ability negates the Angel of Despair's ability

I'm very curious as to rather or not she knows she was created by Sorin or not. If not, then I wonder if she wonders... If she does know... then I wonder how she feels about it. Is she just loyal to Sorin, does she despise him but grudgingly respect him? Does she care?

She may look boring on the surface, but she's actually quite an interesting question once you think about her... And I think this is what Wizards were shooting for... as quiet and Aloof as she seems to be.
Side note: if you really zoom in on her eyes, she does have pupils, their white and look like a full moon.

Her three archangels shares color with blue, green, and red. While Avacyn is pure white, her dress indicates a shade of black/gothic, in honor of her creator Sorin.

If you zoom in all the way, so that her picture covers your screen, you can see that she is extremely beautiful...except for the fact that the artist forgot to give her eyes
