This card becomes much funnier if you imagine Moe from the Three Stooges in the background.

Mercy is almost synonymous with pity, for everyone complaining about that. I like this card, whether or not it's amazing.

The art is beautiful in this card, but it has limited usage. Not useless though. Probably only in a draft setting.

Lifegain is underappreciated most of the time. People look at the cost of this card and get scared, but the bottomline is that this is a retro active counter to two burn spells, pays for griselbrand's ability, is instant speed, so can be played after a player blows through his whole hand and attacks with everything thinking he'll kill you.
Is this a great card? Far from it. Should you throw a fit if you get stuck with it in sealed/draft? Absolutely not. Some of you guys are expecting too much if you think cards like this have no place.
2/5 for the art, flavor, but a bit underpar for getting done.

@.@ She's so prettiful.....8D
:p I like the way some of these Innistrad arts don't look like fantasy characters- they look like real humans. or real Angels. Very nice :)

I like the new art, but its effect on the game is still pretty bad unless your deck is specifically built around lifegain for a specific goal -- outlasting burn, winning via Felidar Sovereign, or flipping Chalice of Life, as examples. Even then, non-repeatable lifegain with no other effect is a bad use of a card. Just in Avacyn Restored, you have Cathedral Sanctifier, Goldnight Redeemer, Nearhearth Pilgrim, and Seraph of Dawn that combine lifegain with a body.
I give it 1/5, on the strength of the cool art.

I think the art is trying to depict what happens when the player (the dude on the right) plays this horrible card. To that end, this should have probably been called Angel's Pity.

If you have Griselbrand then this really means draw 7 cards.

Horrible card, about as worse as it can get. Apart from someone liking the art or flavortext or something, I can't see any reason to ever play this card in any deck.

I don't know why everyone is being so picky here, I'd pay 4 mana to get head from that angel any day.
