I think people may underestimate this card. For those of you that have never used it Halcyon Glaze rocked. I've consistently won games with decks it where I just pile 4 Halcyon Glazes into the deck with an army of 1 mana creatures and Drake Umbras. Halcyon Glaze took the games alone.
Its hard to beat the kind of advantage you get for getting a 1/1, 4/4, and a 4/4 for 1cmc....
Also, as I've mentioned elsewhere this + Moonsilver Spear + Warstorm Surge is scary. That's 7 damages before you even resolve combat. I don't care who you are that's rough to deal with. I'm thinking W/U or U/R weenies? Wingcrafter, Phantasmal Bear (pairs with Wingcrafter really well for early beats), Furnace Scamp, or for the lullz Thopter Assembly.

After the non-sense I've had to deal with because of glint hawk idol, I refuse to underestimate this card. In a human deck, it will be a pain to play against.

I had to fight against someone in the prerelease who ended up using this along with arcwing dragon. Thankfully, I managed to demolish one of his mountains and prevented him from being able to cast the dragon, but this card still managed to punch my face a good number of times.
After fighting against it a number of times in the prerelease, I can say it's decent in limited but not perfect, especially because you're going to have to jump through hoops in order to get it to block.

People are seriously underestimating this. In limited it's amazing, a 3/3 flier that's resistant to a lot of the removal in the environment. In constructed, it's great for creature heavy decks (like humans, tokens, Pod or Werewolves) because it's 3/3 flying that is immune to sorcery creature removal. And the best part, it's immune to board wipes. You cast DoJ or BSZ? Fine, I'll drop a Doomed Traveler and swing in for 9, GG.

Does this need to be given haste in order to attack?

@Boreguard No it does not count as entering the battlefield when it becomes a creature.

@lobsterbomb only if its the first turn you've had the idol down, its like spells that turn lands into creatures they've probably been out there for loads of turns and since its not a creature entering the field (thank you minusX for clarifying) it's just literally turning into a creature

yet another pretty solid limited card that probably isn't good enough for constucted. It is really nice that it fits into any color combo. I pick these pretty early to fill out the curve with one more evasive attacker.

I think I'll put this in the blue/black zombie deck that I'm building.
