It can be quite useful if a player has something that can change the colors of a target creature.

I was looking for creatures that have synergy with that card, and there are Stoic Angel + Lightning Angel: They block 60% of all creatures without taking damage, and they can't really become blocked themselves because of evasion.. Also, they can both attack and block because of vigilance! :)

I read this as Well-Laid Plains at first and was tremendously confused.

Another Painter's Servant super friend. Goes well with a lot of multi-coloured creatures too ie. Cromat, Fusion Elemental, Horde of Notions and my favourite, Maelstrom Archangel

Follow up with a Palace Guard and a Prismatic Lace on the next turn. Or, use Painter's Servant (as mentioned before) or Shifting Skies.

Maybe in a blue-black deck, with cards like pestilence demon or plaguespitter. The well laid plans will make sure that they will only kill non-black creatures.

I think Nin, the Pain Artist would like this card.
