This is great for self-milling, but I hope the rest of the Innistrad block has more milling cards to build a solid mill deck. All my mill cards aren't good in standard anymores...

The good thing about this card is, if you deck likes to mill yourself, you'll end up with some copies of these in your graveyard so you can mill for more. This makes it a bit better than a straight "U: mill three, 1UU: mill six".

it's not a matter of better or worse than tome scour. it's a matter of when will mono blue mill become a kind of burn deck with direct milling instead of direct damage. i think it's very close with cards like hedron crab, drowner initiate, shrienkhorn, jace's erasure and visions of beyond

Technically, for the same CMC, Tome Scour would hit for more. However, with this, you're relying only on one card, and you get instant speed. Seeing as how Tome Scour isn't in Standard, either, it's not really even much of a discussion on that front.

Well if you are going to play Isochron Scepter, theres no reason to take this over Glimpse the Unthinkable, in fact, even Tome Scour would be better still, since you will never make use of the flashback with a scepter.
