Not quite as survivable as Giant spider, but you can damn well bet it's going to do it's job.
It's no fun to block it, either.

I love the art. It's all scrabbly and scrawly, perfect for a spider. I suppose he makes a great Wall, who can also attack sometimes if need be. his 3 toughness makes it so he'll most likely survive any blocking creatures, and if not, hey. Deathtouch.

Though Deadly Recluse is typically better in creature matchups, this big-brother (or elder cousin) of his will wreak havoc in limited.

Deathtouch makes SO much sense with Spiders. Glad to see this. And with 3 toughness, it can still survive many more battles than Deadly Recluse. Great common.

I was expecting to see the Lady of Videns as a double-faced card in Dark Ascension. Instead of a legendary human/human spider we only got this common spider :(
Perhaps she will appear in Avacyn Restored...
