the card is ok.... really isnt that useful especially since i play black. Anything white creature without shroud means nothing :)

This card gave White Weenie a breath of fresh air. You can ramp into the Crucible of Worlds + Armageddon prison kill that has become standard WW fare lately.

a very good blocker at the very least and come behind mana acceleration at his best. Bounce lands and borderposts are his best friends. It is also useful to note that he acctually only costs 1 net white mana if you get land search from him since the land does not enter tapped.
Acctually has become my favorite card over time.

Knight of the White Orchid, "Look there, Persey, at those clouds!" Persey the Lion, "I have hooves! HOOOVES!!!"

Use in a flicker deck to run horribly low numbers of lands, have a vigilance 2/2 that defies removal, and yet still make the land curve. 18 land mono-white is probably quite feasible. Similar can be said for land tax but.. that's a spendy card..

I can get away with only using four Hallowed Fountains for blue mana in my UW Knights deck because of this boss. He is a beast. Fear him.

I can't help bit feel that this deck really wants a Temple Garden.
