Essentially, he is just a more expensive version ofDeepchannel Mentor.
The Mentor is just a little bit more realistic, since it is not only about $0.25 (in comparison to $5+), but it is uncommon, and doesn't make your opponents cringe.
Fortunately and unfortunately, the Mentor only helps Blue creatures. I suppose if it helped all creatures, then that'd just be broken.

Its a good card, but really? Why would they bring back horsemanship? We might see banding again soon too. Basically should be read as unblockable at this point.

Did anyone want this? They should have just printed Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed, secondary marked be damned. It's not on the reserved list, and the reserved list is the only statement Wizards has made about protecting the secondary market, they shouldn't even consider the value of non-reserved list cards.

6 mana for a 4/4 that makes your dudes unblockable (Pretty much). Not really befitting an awe-inpiring Mythic Rare Legendary Creature put in a set with throwbacks to some of the coolest Legendaries. I mean look at the other creatures in from the vaults that do such cool stuff and have abilities that are unique and you can build around. This guy and Cao Cao, Lord of Wei seem like boring choices from a boring set.

From the Vault really irks me, I always thought it would be funny to run this guy as an EDH general but now that every kid with their parents credit card can just go buy it and some other equally ruined classic cards the fun has left the room.

As an avid, casual EDH player, i for one was excited to see something this... odd, and powerfull in an off-the wall maner. blue is full of fun ways to take advantage of unblocked creatures for one.
Also, imagine running in a mono blue ninja deck with lots of bounce.
