run with Vampire Hexmage and Illusions of Grandeur. You will only have to pay the upkeep cost once or twice. This card is only useful if you are losing.

Actually, this card is also capable of achieving a lose...
However, something like this should work:
Turn1: A 1CMC defender. Something like Goldenglow Moth
Turn2: Vampire Hexmage
Turn3: Douse in Gloom
Turn4: Celestial Convergence
Turn5: win, if the opponent didn't burn you too much...
But against red maybe you would wait a little more in order to gain some more live via defensive creature, that would bring you a victory even without Celestial Convergence...

This, like so many other alternate-win-condition cards, is a crutch. 0/5.

To win with cards like this is always fun. However, the combos you need are a bit too slow for eternal formats; this card is great in multiplayer!

Worldfire + Barren Glory + Near-Death Experience + 2 Oblivion Rings
or Karn Liberated + Celestial Convergence + Vampire Hexmage + Felidar Sovereign + some way to do 1 damage to everyone :
OR Combo A + Celestial Convergence + Oblivion Ring #3 + Vampire Hexmage + Oblivion Ring + 4 + Some way that taps with haste to do damage to everyone else + Copy Enchantment #1
*It's impossible to have exactly 40, 50, and 1 life at the same time. That's why I'm not mentioning Test of Endurance, and why you can't automatically win in EVERY way POSSIBLE at the same time. We will also not bother trying to Infect our opponents on top of this....whatever...thingy.*
1. Worldfire sets you up for Barren Glory and Near-Death Experience. The Oblivion Ring combo will ensure they survive and come back. We'll be abusing Obliv... (see all)

It's false that in 2 player matches earthquake or simultaneous effects cause a draw. In a 1v1 match, the player triggering the effect loses first. So if you're both at 5 and you earthquake or pestilence for 5, you both die, but you lose. In multiplayer it doesn't matter as much as long as 1 player survives.

Stay mono white and use Hex Parasite if you can afford the small 2 life cost. Otherwise throw in black for more good stuff like Debt to the Deathless.
