Wizards needs to make a legendary Squirrel so I can put this in a tribal EDH deck.

I have never used his first ability but the second is a killer with a horde of squirrel tokens. Still only a decent card for a squirrel deck thought.

He's not awesome but not bad either. Best of course in combination with other squirrel cards. There, sacrificing a land to double your squirrels damage is great. You could also sacrifice, for example, four of your lands if you have the mana, to turn your squirrels into 5/5s. Sure, you would lose 4 lands, but who cares if you win.
The ability to sac lands to create tokens ain't bad either. If you have 6 mana, you could sac two lands at the end of your opponents turn to create four tokens, and in your turn sac two lands to give those tokens +2/+2. That's then 15 damage if the wrangler attacks too.

Maybe, but you can have this guy out and OWNING with squirrel power a couple turns faster than nut collector.
Good flavor text by the way.
