Gahhh! Looks odd in the newer formatting.
My favorite wall of all time.
Yes direct damage can kill it and yes trample spills over the 2 toughness, but it only costs 2 and never goes away blocking , and has flying. Much better than it predecessors such as Wall of Shadows, Uncle Istvan, and Wall of Vapor.
I also like Guard Gomazoa in Rize of Eldrazi, costs a little more to get out but is a little tougher to kill with direct damage and stops a little more trample.

For those who like puzzles: what's really surprising about Fog Bank is just how few attackers can manage to kill it (without the need to activate an ability or cast a spell). There are fewer than ten creature cards with the property "If this creature attacks and Fog Bank blocks it, Fog Bank will die."
Finding even that many takes some work. The obvious place is to browse through Cockatrice-type creatures -- but many of these either specify non-Wall, or require damage to be dealt, etc.
For those who like puzzles, there's at least one of each color, including colorless. I'll spot you the funniest one: Fog Bank dies to Goblin Swine-Rider.

Fight is a kinda funny mechanic with Fogbank. Since the damage dealt isn't combat damage, Fogbank and the creature fighting it deal damage to each other as normal. So, it's to be expected that my fight deck would kill it by fighting it.
What they didn't see coming coming, when someone switcheroo'd my big guy so he could use conjurer's closet to protect it from that damn vampire. Fogbank would kill Olivia Voldaren by fighting her.

I have been wanting them to print this one in a new frame for months! So efficient and flavorful. A playset of them will have a home in my
