Ajani's deck having these while Bolas's deck has Terramorphic Expanses is a cool touch that helps set the two decks apart.

I didn't notice that, A3Kitsune. Good observation. Now, realistically, the only reason this was printed in Rise of the Eldrazi was to make landfall decks terrifying with 7 fetchlands in Standard. Ask pre-ban Boros with its Squadron Hawks, Adventuring Gears, Stoneforge Mystics, Terramorphics, Wilds, Steppe Lynxes, and Arid Mesas!
Here, it was a tasteful aesthetic choice due to the presence of {RW} in Ajani's deck. Well done, Wizards. Well done.

If you look at the rest of the land, all of bolas' art comes from time spiral... just a fun bit of flavor, and a nice gift to buy pre-cons and gut them.
