PLAYABLE lifegain, since it will trigger any "whenever you gain life" effects every turn for the price of one card and {1}{W}.

At the beginning of your upkeep, you MAY gain 1 lfie? Weird, weird wording of text. Helix Pinnacle should say "you MAY win the game" for consistency.

I think Eluem meant to post that comment for Touch of the Eternal because this plus Phyrexian Unlife does NOT make you invulnerable to creature attacks. For example: You have 3 life. You are attack by Avatar of Fury and now you have -3 life. You gain 1 life from this and now you have -2 life. You are attacked again. Since you have <0 life, the damage is treated as though it has infect and you get 6 poison counters. You gain 1 life from this and now you have -1 life. You are attacked again, you get 6 more poison counters and lose. Where's the invulnerability?

Life gain that is good enough to find its way into competitive play (e.g., Zuran Orb and Ivory Tower) extend game length too much for organized play. This is probably about as good as you can make life gain before you enter the danger zone.
