@Kragash: I think his point was that all decks were forced into a certain colour set. You can't splash {U} or {B} without taxing your mana base, for instance, which restricts a lot of options from even being considered, whereas people splashing {U} pretty much only restricts out 3+ colour decks (pre-splash).

@Plaguestinger - Sunpetal Grove doesn't have the types 'forest' or 'plains', so it doesn't contribute to Wild Nacatl, Loam Lion or Kird Ape. If you want a nonbasic with multiple land types, you need to look at either the Ravnica shocklands (ie. Temple Garden) or the alpha duals (ie. Savannah).
In any case, a 2/2 for one in GR or GW decks isn't terrible, but a 3/3 for 1 in Naya decks (or 4/5c decks, or 2c decks splashing a mountain/plains for the pump) is just awesome. If you're looking for an aggressive one drop, he's a standard. He also makes Ranger of Eos swoon ("yes, I will fetch you 6 points of power with my ETB").

And of course the almighty banhammer swings into this but misses Goyf. Wonderful.

FINALLY! I thought I was the only one bored of seeing the same kind of ZOO being played over and over again. 1 mana 3/3 isn´t exactly fair. Maybe, just maybe, I get to see some control in Modern (Teachings seem promising)

This Card does not deserve the banhammer.
I cast Redirect of Banhammers target and make it Mana Leak for every format.

Great card!! Believe it or not I won a game in seven or so turns using this card's +abilitys and Divine Favor, turning it into a 4/6 beast XDDD my opponent was sitting nervously stacking up lands, whilst I whittled down his life :D (unfortunately, its banned in modern, but since I only play causual i guess it doent matter)
