I'm glad WOTC learned from Odyssey block and limited this to only creatures. Although frightening that a 'tog-like creature gets put in a set that's right after the set that revisited flashback and has Snapcaster Magein it.

I played with my friend's Golgari deck today. I dropped this on turn 2 and on turn 4 it was 8/7 after some discarding and scavenging. This thing is very powerful, and I think I'm in love with "LL Troll J".

Turn 1: Forest
Turn 2: Swamp, Lotleth Troll
Turn 3: Discard 4 Slitherheads, scavenge all 4 onto Lotleth Troll, attack with a 10/9 with trample on turn 3 with enough mana to regenerate him.

This is Wild Mongrel on crack....
Edit: This is currently in the 1 dollar rare bin. Thats because it loses to bounce and exile, unlike thragtusk.

He does cost a Lotleth than you would think...CMC-wise.

I once won a game using 4 cards: a swamp, a forest, this, and shambling shell. My opponent just was unable to remove him and I just dredged shambling shell each turn to discard him.

@ Stealth.
On Mirrodin, maybe. Not on Ravnica.

I'll keep Haakon for this guy in mind.
And Scavenge cards. And Madness cards.

This guy wrecks. Total powerhouse in the Return to Ravnica block. Slitherhead is just a perfect addition too.
