I really wanted to hold this and Cancel at the same time. I could just sit there feeling so smug. Then my opponent said, "It's your turn" and I played my creature. /smugness

This card is essentialy a budget Restoration angel. Its never better, but sometimes its almost as good.

I believe that's the idea. Flash Vigilance doesn't have the kind of synergy that Flash and Detain would have, but the effect is something like a pseudo-Haste Vigilance, being able to use the Patrol to its fullest a turn earlier than normal.
