I have him as my EDH general, The deck is built around mana cost six and up creatures, Swing with rakdos, Get cheap fatties!

Gets utterly nuts with Warstorm Surge and a handful of eldrazi and artifact creatures. It's like a chain of B/R creature-omniscience. Very fun general in EDH.
EDIT: Standard can get nasty, too... with ONLY him, 5 lands, and Mogis, God of Slaughter on the field, you could drop a Mogis's Marauder, swing for 15 intimidate, and then drop a Gray Merchant of Asphodel for the final 5 damage... which may not even be necessary, since you had to damage your opponent before casting Rakdos in the first place. Ouch.
