This could work immensely well with Makeshift Mannequin since you can respond it its shuffle ability to put it into play. The "skulking" drawback that MM provides is completely mitigated by the wurm's token generation. You can use either the 3 or 5 cost Liliana Vess to discard it for free and have mana open to make it a Mannequin (big Lili can also tutor for either piece for you to play next turn).

so if I kill it (victim of night, murder...) and it regenerates, it still generates the tokens right?

How to cheat out Worldspine Wurm in Standard:
T1: Mana dork.
T2: Mulch/etc to mill yourself, putting creatures into your graveyard, and another dork.
T3: Boneyard Wurm and Descendants' Path.
T4: Mwonvuli Beast Tracker, holding on to a Raner's Guile/Sheltering Word tomprorect your Boneyard Wurm. Tutor Worldspine, of course, with the Beast Tracker's etb effect.
T5: Watch your opponent scoop.

How could they give the "leaves" clause to thragtusk and give the 11 mana mythic a "dies". God forbid your thragtusk gets hosed by oblivion ring, but its a-okay when your 11 mana mythic does.

@thewrathofshane: Because people would just cloudshift this over and over (or use Roaring Primadox) like they do thragtusk to produce more and more 5/5 tramplers. At least Thragtusk produces ONE 3/3. This produces THREE. It would be absolutely crazy.

@jaekill, regeneration replaces dying. A regenerated creature never actually dies, it just stays on the battlefield.
