Will this get you three life closer to killing the other player when they do counter your spell? Yes
For that body with hast and first strike its good on its own. The flashback bolting effect is just the icing on the cake.

lets face it: either it plays against a deck where its second ability is relevant, or it faces one that turns graveyard strategies into a bad idea.
against the first type, the result seems obvious, and against the second, they have some hoser out there that either is not a creature, or is a creature too weak to stop this guy from beating face.
sounds good to me.
