Apparently This Is The Talk In a Similar Manner To Master_Of_Etherium Page. Poor Plummet, No-One I know Uses It. Ever.

First game with this in my mono-green ramp deck: I was pummeling my opponent, he was down to about 6 health and I only had one card left in my hand. He had a few walls, but needed another creature to help defend and kill mine. So he taps everything and puts a huge sphinx down with trample artifact. The only card I have in my hand is Plummet, and kill his last hope instantly. The only Plummet I have in my entire deck. Lol. Win next turn. He actually had a counter spell card but had tapped all his land.

Sometimes you just have the luck! ;D

Not a bad idea to maindeck, catches people off guard.

@Bay_Falconer
Azure Drake is not strictly better then Giant Spider, for 3 reasons.
1) Different colors.
2) Different creature types.
3) One dies to plummet type cards, the other does not.

Strictly better: Better in all cases and all instances. If you had an extremely low budget BlueGreen deck, yeah you would probably pick the drake over the spider, unless your vorthoss. But there might be some situations were the spider would have done better. Does that warrant picking the spider over the drake? Of course not, but its not strictly better.

You could safely say that Lightning Bolt is strictly better then Shock, even though there might be some rare examples of why not. But technically, its very rare to have something that's the true definition of strictly better in magic.

If Green is so terrible with dispatching Flyers, how does the colorpie justify this card? You know, other than the whole 'we gotta give Green a way to deal with Flyers' sorta thing.

I main this deck even in multi-colored decks. It is that solid of a card. Green removal at it's finest.

Too situational. Really.

@marmaris:
No, it's not. It's really not. Black's the best at removing creatures, regardless of whether or not they have flying. For the same reason you'd pick Naturalize over Shatter every time. And Giant Spider isn't removal or good. Azure Drake is strictly better, for the aforementioned reason, and it's a load of jank.

@Eternal_Blue:
Basically, it's a circular reasoning issue.

Green doesn't get flying.
Not having flying means green doesn't have an answer to flying.
So we give green an answer to flying.
But it breaks the color pie (dispatching creatures makes it another Pyroblast).
So we decide by fiat green hates flying, which justifies...
