Really likes to receive some gemblades at instant speed. big benefit that threatens your opponent into losing tempo for a cheap cost and no additional resources later on.

I really wish it was when its power was 8 or greater that it could attack/block, rather than when it has 5 +1/+1 counters, but I guess that would make this already powerful card a bit too good.
Overall, I think this is likely my favorite card of m13, because for just one , you definitely make the game interesting.

Really good card in multyplayer for dissuasive play. If you are 4 player, and you put the slumbering dragon on turn one, people will try to avoid attacking you until it's dealt with. For 1 mana...why not

I, for one, love the idea of this card. I mean, a one-mana 3/3 flying that gives itself counters as a punishment for your opponent attacking it. Combo it with a green card for one mana in the Innistrad block, Withstand Death, or give it some sort of enchantment/equipment to grant Hexproof. My current standard deck is a white/red artifact/flying for low costs (...which WILL die when Scars cycles, due to Glint Hawk (Idols, too), Memnite, Signal Pest, Auriok Sunchaser, Dispatch, and Galvanic Blast going away, at the LEAST... XD), and a one-mana 3/3 Flying in Red just fits it SO well.

Might this point towards a return of Graft in Return to Ravnica? I certainly hope so.

If this fella doesn't make my friends hesitate attacking me nothing will.
I kinda wanna make a casual red/something deck with this and Hellion Crucible and some proliferation cards

It'd be hilarious to miracle Blessings of Nature on this on turn 2. I DARE YOU TO ATTACK

Obviously funny with other ways to put counters on it... brings back bad memories of Elder Land Wurm, however... still, at least this one is properly costed for such a fragile, yet humorous, critter.

R/G, R/W, or R/G/W ftw.
First turn, mountain, this.
Second turn, Forest, Travel Preparations
Third turn, Sunpetal Grove, flashback Travel Preparations
Fourth turn, Timberland Guide, swing.
Support this with Champion of Lambholt and Thundermaw Hellkite, or maybe even Cathars' Crusade and token generation, and you have serious potential. Throw in Gavony Township...
The only problem is that my G/W humans work better off of this...I know dragons are typically R, but I wanna see a white dragon, tamed by soldiers as mounts and allies...too bad that won't happen.
Sadly, this card won't see alot of tournament play. Good for casual, and a fun card. 3.5/5

This is an amazing card. If you're worried about it being killed off, just give it Swiftfoot Boots!
