Cracked this guy in sealed league pack. Nice addition. King of any limited format you may play with him.

If I played Mayor of Avabruck and Immerworlf, and then someone played Huntmaster of the fells should I even care?

You know, everyone's harping on about how he doesn't properly interact with Immerwolf and whatnot, but I reckon he'd be more than happy to team up with ol' Borborygmos and maybe a Boartusk Liege or two.
Seriously, if you're not happy with your copies, remember Gruul's coming back soon. And they're going to be perfectly happy about getting this lifegaining tokenspawning in-colour powerhouse.

People need to evaluate werewolves for what they are, two cards not one. Huntmaster nets you 2 life and 2 bodies 2/2 wolf and 2/2 human werewolf. You only have to pay 4 mana for this benefit, which is reasonable. Now the other part, if your opponent doesn't play a spell or you choose not to, you get to deal 2 damage to the opponent and shock one of their creatures and transform him into a 4/4 trampler without having to pay any mana. To summarize, gain 2 life, get 2/2 wolf, get 2/2 human werewolf, deals 2 damage to opponent, deals 2 damage to creature, get a 4/4 trample for 4 CMC. Yes you get tremendous value for how much you pay for him. Being a 4/4 he needs to be deal with but he has already given you a 4 point life swing.
I will never complain about playing Huntmaster of the Fells because even if he dies he is eating a removal spell and he leaves behind a 2/2 wolf token. OH and he is also a Green creature, consider flashing him in with Yeva, Nature's Herald Maki... (see all)

I run two of these guys in my Werewolf deck. Managed to pull one, but had to shell out $25 dollars for the second. I always knew he was good, but at first I laughed at his pricetag. Then after I played him a few times I changed my tune. This guy is a game changer.
"Oh you thought your little flying utility was safe from my werewolves did you?"

@NuckChorris Dies to removal is never a good argument. Most creatures do, that's the point of removal. It's pointing out the obvious.

Ravager. Wow. I was looking through the werewolf type, just because, and I saw this guy and a bunch of great memories of playing him came back to me. I probably played him in like, five different decks.
I really wish he was still legal.

He's the Mythic Rare Werewolf we deserved back in Innistrad, as every other major tribe got a Mythic Rare. Hell, Spirits got two! But the wait was definitely worth it, as Standard proved to us for some time. A Werewolf who proves to be a win-win situation no matter what form he ends up being in is exactly what the ailing tribe needed, and at least in my experience, he has not disappointed if I can keep him on the battlefield.
