Powerful, for sure, but not sure if of Mythic flavor... Give him +1/+0 and make him a Legend? Then yes.

Little known fact: they also kitted this guy with Scarab drones.

Commander Review: hmm, let's see. A 3/5 flying doublestriker that can gain up to six life and draw up to two cards a turn. Well, of course the guy is weaker than consecreated sphinx, but so is 99% of all card draw in Commander. That ignored, this guy is ok. Seven mana is quite a lot but I guess I'd always play him in Isperia, the Inscrutable Commander decks, and about half the other blue-white decks. Well, and quite often in decks which have a Commander that gains life. In five color decks, I might cut him in favor of other cards that draw me stuff the same turn I play them.
3.5/5

The lack of a "may" clause on the card drawing hurts it a bit, but I absolutely love this card. Lifelink and Double Strike are my two favorite abilities to see together on a card, and evasion is always nice. I'll certainly use this in my casual reanimator deck.

Did anyone else notice that this spirit is trapped inside Grafdigger's Cage?

Drogskol Reaver is the newcomer to my absolute favorite subset of magic cards; cc7+ white (may contain other colors in addition to white) creatures with ridicilous abilities and are able to hit the 'yard if need be.
Other members of this esteemed company include (though some of them haven't aged well)
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite
Iona, Shield of Emeria
Sphinx of the Steel Wind
Empyrial Archangel
Blazing Archon
Angel of Despair
Eternal Dragon
Akroma, Angel of Wrath
Phantom Nishoba
Reaver may not be all trendy, having no instant effect upon entering the battlefield, but I'd be willing to bet it will have its day in the standard sun before it is all said and done.

And then, on febuary first, all lifegain decks abruptly started splashing blue.
Okay so it's a 7 drop that dies to dismember blah blah blah STFU, whenever it deals damage draw two cards is cool enough, but when soul's attendant makes gather the townsfolk a 2/5 for one? when every creature is a cantrip or more? when he's in the same set to be protected by Drogskol Captain!? God of the kitchen table at least, makes my casual johnny heart soar.
Put him in Zedru EDH alongside Niv-mizzet I guess too.
