This card was spectacular at my local prerelease. Holding down anything at all whenever was loads of fun.

I played two of these in my deck today at the release day tournament. One of my opponents was really unhappy when I turned off his 6/5 Vorapede... :D

I drafted this and Chant of the Skifsang on DKA bosster draft. My friends were passing them, considering them rubbish. Later, they were unable to attack, because their creatures had no power or just got tapped :D
It's great in limited, but I'm not sure if it's potent enough to see some constructed play.

the scariest cards in Innistrad Block are without a doubt the white non-creature spells like this and Feeling of Dread. There is something unnervingly too HUMAN about those faces- I haven't yet actually played with either of these cards yet, and I'm not sure I could stand looking at their eyes pleading at me from the graveyard after they're cast....
maybe I'm just a softie for poor beautiful maidens overcome with fear and despair and not being able to comfort them. These images are so cruel to anyone with a soul....

Here's my question: Can you pay the cost when the creature is already tapped to tap it again? Example: you enchant opponent's creature and you have a Gideon's Avenger. Pay 1 to tap the creature and give Avenger a +1/+1. Can you pay another 1 to "tap" the creature and give Avenger another +1/+1?

Commander Review: it sucks. It requires you to pay mana constantly to stop a creature. And it doesn't even work on utility creatures. I'd rather use Arrest, Hobble or simply kill the creature.

For limited this is fantastic.
For constructed... no way
Pacifism, Oblivion Ring, and Arrest all day before this thing.

Would I use this in Standard? No.
Would I use this in Block Constructed? I'm seriously considering it in a U/W control deck. There aren't as many options in block and in a control deck, I'm thinking this can hold off a couple of early threats until I get enough mana to really get going. That's the theory anyway. Who knows if it will work in practice.
And yes, it is pretty good in limited, and not something to just immediately pass over in draft.
