Lightning Bolt has never had artwork or flavor text this awesome. And the Gerrard Solo of it all makes this card a solid 4/5.

This is removal that I'd be pleased to find in my sealed or pick in draft at some point. That is all it is. And yes, Sunlance is a better card because it does have a niche that isn't just 1 cost removal. That is a removal spell for that doesn't give a land or life while still having further restrictions to your opponent. I'm not sure that it is good enough for that niche use to justify its play that much in say Modern, but it isn't as if there is no reason to. I'd probably play Sunlanceover Oustin the decks that would consider forgoing Path to Exile. Meanwhile a card like this is facing a strictly better card and that card may well be the best Magic card until you hit Vintage. The improved version has done about as much in Modern as au...
