this was usefull in older editions, when having a multicolored deck was sort of rare...i remember havin it in my 5colored deck (only multicolored cards) against 3 1colored ones. At a certain point i was the only one playing! Old times, great fun...

I imagine this would work in some EDH decks. or at the very least be a fun edh card, since it would interact differently with each game

I love what the card does, but the flavor is really wonky. I simply don't get it.

One of my friends runs this in his Horde of Notions EDH deck. It does its job very well, especially if he has Dream Halls out.

So... Chromatic Lantern makes this just slightly unfair. Throw in something like Hall of Gemstone, calling a color not in your deck each upkeep, for really unfair long game control.

Mana cost, not converted mana cost. This plays nicely in prismatic EDH, where it gives you veto power over everyone else's stuff and probably access to some things no-one else can counter.

This card is great, and has it's uses, but you either have to build a deck around it, or be running in a variant format like EDh or Mental Magic.
