This card is a good example of what auras need to become in order to see more play. They need to be aggressively costed, with buffs that make them worth playing in spite of the inherent card disadvantage that creature enchantments inflict, or be recursive somehow. Spectral Flight saw some play thanks to its low cost and Angelic Destiny and Rancor were/are established powerhouses in both constructed and limited. Auras may become useful tools in aggressive decks looking to push through extra damage before the card disadvantage they incur hamstrings their mid-to-late game.

+2/+1 and trample for a turn isn't even that bad for 2 mana, depending on what you have with you. Thinking of it as that and incentive to kill a specific creature over other alternatives makes it seem pretty decent.

The strictly better Unholy Strength, I wonder if we'll see a strictly better Holy Strength? That would be interesting. It fits beautifully with the flavor of the Rakdos; comes out early and strong dealing that extra damage before the opponent can set up.

You were given a strictly better Unholy Strength and you guys are still bitching about getting "2 for 1'd"?
What the hell more do you want?

2 for 1 is bad numbers in limited I am afraid.

Brutal card for 1 CMC. gives unleash another tool to overpower opponents with. People don't like unleash now, but they will once things loosen up. Unleash is good, just give it time.

I know this is unintuitive, but listen to me. Play Auras on shit you want to die. stuff with scavenge, like Slitherhead or Dreg Mangler. People don't like 2 for 1 ing you if they know it'll end up hurting them, even if letting you keep your creature is a bad idea.

Strictly better than Unholy Strength, but then again, no one played that card anyhow. The real point is that the artwork is HOT! And for this I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. Not really. I don't rate cards based on their artwork. But if I did...

This boosts up your creature with the option to give it trample. I am a pro and I like it.
