GSPDraft, yeah, you could just tap your land without caring about the mana. You'd just waste one mana that'd disappear when you changed phases.
If I were you though, I'd keep that land open until it's the beginning of your turn, just in case your opponent has some anti-enchantment stuff. It also tricks them into thinking that you've got a Cancel or Synocate in your hand.
... I don't know why they'd use a Naturalize on that, but... who knows, maybe you're playing standard dredge.

@Lord_Sauron, if it's already tapped there's no change in state, which is what this card requires to trigger.
It's fairly easy to downplay this card until you use it to mill 12 an opponnent on turn three with Hidden Strings and Invisible Stalker. While there are cards that at cost are strictly better for just mill amount at this price point they don't have the added benefits of land denial or permanence that this card does and when you're playing blue mill/control in standard few things are as helpful as slowing down the numerous aggro decks.
