I feel like in a non-Sliver deck with absolutely 0 cards that combo with either one of them, Sliver Queen's effect might just make up for the 1/1 in P/T that this thing has over it.

In the right deck, paying {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} for 8/8 is easily attainable. Being every color is both a blessing and a curse, it allows this to be immune to removal like Doom Blade, while at the same time being susceptible to stuff like Deathmark.
Also, Blessing of the Nephilim will give you a 13/13, but there are other better cards out there for this to synergize with.
