While drafting I got two Wolfir Avenger, four Wandering Wolf, and three Tormentor's Trident. It was pretty awesome.

As a card reviewer said in their review of this card / set"
"Wolfir Avenger gives a new meaning to what three untapped lands means."
Very nice card and most likely a staple in green decks for years to come.

I wish it was red and had haste instead of regen... What can I say? I like cards with haste and flash.
Good card and it looks like it'll see a lot of play in block.
@ FeralSymphony: If you don't know why we have the "Wolfir", it's because supposedly Avacyn turned the Werewolves into Wolfir when she came out of the Helvault.

3/3 for three is meh. Flash does help some but it takes five mana to stop it from dying as a chump blocker the turn it comes out.

You're kind of missing the point of Elephant Ambush. Instant speed is extremely relevant. Both Call of the Herd and Elephant Ambush are playable, but for very different reasons. You cast Ambush in response to an attack to kill one of your opponent's creatures with a surprise block (and you can do the same with Avenger) and hopefully survive with a 3/3. You can't do that with Call of the Herd, though it makes up for it by being much more on-curve with its costs. Clearly Kiseki's deck values the potential removal more than the ability to get a second 3/3 up on turn four (and honestly, I think most green decks would - you'll have other four drops).

In the most mana accelerated archtype, that Regeneration cost looks pretty low to me.
I give it a 4/5. Definitely playable and will include in my newest deck.

Solid little bigger, will most likely take an aggro creature out and then have the regenerate ability to deter bigger things.
